The long-awaited second season of Aobuta finally came on last summer anime season, it sure took some time and the wait hurt a bit, but in the end our hope was rewarded with this, and the already announced final movie to fully complete the anime adaptation, that makes me feel melancholic on how this is about to end, but nevertheless, that's how life is, so no other option but to enjoy and rejoice that we got to see this moment, I think one big question fans had about this new season, was regarding the new songs, the first season delivered two songs that are forever etched in our hearts, so it is never easy to find something new to, not only be on the same level, but maybe even to surpass them. Conton Candy was the band brought into the stage to deliver the OP for this highly anticipated sequel in the Aobuta series, this song is a first of them for me, something I always enjoy, is that on each anime season, there are always oportunities to find new artists/bands, this song is a rock-based one, which based on the lyrics that were used, my take is that probably there are two ways to see this one, with phrases like, these feelings I want to express, even without a tongue, they reach you this clearly, the happiness I want to grasp is something that won't wither, like a flower that gave off a gentle scent for only an instat, I search for it, I wander, I live, given those example phrases, one of the meanings I find here, is that probably the song is about Sakuta and Mai, how Sakuta wants their happiness to be everlasting, and for that, he has to go through all these puberty syndrome cases, the other take I can think of, is probably that the song is about the people in this season that suffered the puberty syndrome, how they want to find happiness the feelings they want to express, and that they want all of these things to reach Sakuta, asking him for help, I also find interesting that probably the staff, went for a song that was kind of similar to Kimi no Sei in overall style, that was good, if they think it like this, anyway, hope you enjoy.
