While technically the anime this song is coming from is not a rom-com, which is the idea behind the batch this time, if you listen closely to the lyrics in this one, it could easily fit in any rom-com you can think of, this song is coming from the anime where the typical salaryman gets the isekai treatment, hired by none other than the Demon Lord as one of his main generals, from that summary, I got intrigued about how this story would develop, considering the isekai'd person this time is just a regular salaryman, and I gotta say this one exceeded my expectations and I ended up enjoying it. The ED of this anime was another thing that I could not ignore, specially with the performance otonari gave for this song, I like as well that on the anime ED sequence, it features Ulmandra, who could easily be on the top waifu list from last winter anime season, and another interesting thing about that, is that the seiyuu in charge of her voice was the ever lovely Konomi Kohara, tenderly known by the fan community as Koko-chan, in a performance that surprised me because, when I heard her voice I was thinking on the seiyuu behind her, but I honestly never thought of Koko-chan, normally the acting she gives for most of her characters, is as the one you have heard from Chika Fujiwara in Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai, but on this other anime, it was cool to know this other side of her acting with Ulmandra. As I explained briefly in the beginning, this song revolves around love themes, that could be easily related to the dynamic between Ulmandra and Uchimura, the lucky salaryman, the song is seemingly sung from a girl's perspective, telling us about her one-sided love, for someone that is apparently not getting the signs, being indifferent, and she wants this person to notice, to get that other one to lean on her and even making the question, tell me am I more than friend? If she is the girlfriend or not, with that in mind, and considering what is showed on the ED sequence, you can easily line the pieces up, and the performance of otonari is just too cute and lovely to let it go unnoticed, anyway, hope you enjoy.
