When I was checking out for the stuff on Autum anime season last year, I came into this one, my initial impression while I read what it was about was that the story will probably have a slow-life style as in other animes, I'm not particularly fond of those type of stories so, much to my surprise when I started watching this I realized it had nothing to do with those concepts and that this story had more insight, reflexion and thinking to do about, and I have enjoyed it a lot since last year. Yoasobi provides yet another interesting song this time around, in something that could very much be seen as a song sung from the perspective of Frieren, this one talks about the memories of a person which journey has seemingly come to an end, and about a hero who protected everyone, despite Frieren being at the beginning of the anime kind of aloof, apparently not interested or amused about anything, her character arc has been progressing in a way that she has started to value and cherish those kind of stuff, either from the stories or memories of her former companions, or from her current travel friends, the songs have many passages about that reminiscing of the past, the lands and the people which Frieren once travelled along Himmel, Heiter and Aisen, the sentimentalism about that and even the regret of some decisions or something not said or understood at the time, as the very Frieren has came to realize on this story, all of this carried on by Yoasobi's charm and coolness with other great performance by the lovely Ikura-chan, anyway, hope you enjoy.
